## Dataset Overview

The dataset reports investor-residency filings and grants through Paraguay's SUACE one-stop shop for the January to November 2024 reporting window. It includes:

- 269 investor-residency filings through SUACE
- 267 investor-residency grants (total for the reporting window)
- 30 nationalities represented
- Filing counts by nationality
- Share of total filings by nationality

## Key Data Notes

1. **Filings and grants are separate same-period counts** — they are not matched cohort data. The DNM reports them as two separate operational series. Do not present them as an approval rate.

2. **Per-nationality grant breakdown is not confirmed** in the source PDF. Only the total grants figure (267) is confirmed for the reporting window.

3. **EAS formations are separate from investor residency filings** — SUACE processed 20,496 EAS (simplified stock company) formations since February 2021. Not all EAS founders apply for investor residency.

4. **The 269 filings cover January–November 2024 only** — the dataset is a single reporting window, not a multi-year trend.

## Data Cleaning

- Country names normalized from Spanish source for consistency and GeoJSON matching
- ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 and alpha-3 codes mapped for all 30 nationalities
- Geographic region tags added (MERCOSUR, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, Oceania)
- Bolivia classified as MERCOSUR (associate member)
